Air traffic controllers across France are staging industrial action – which started last night (Wednesday) and continues throughout the day today – which is set to cause delays and cancellations of certain flights.

According to British Airways, the French Civil Aviation Authority has mandated the cancellation of a number of flights for all airlines using French airspace.

“Unfortunately, in addition to cancelling some flights to and from France, other European flights which use French airspace will also be affected and are likely to experience delays and cancellations,” the airline said in a statement.

Air France was not available to confirm whether there would be any flight cancellations at the time of going to print.
